15ml trial tubing ( ml ± 0,05ml )

Straw

2 beakers of 25ml

2 spectrophotometer cuvettes

Dropper

Towel paper

Chronometer ( s ±0,0005s )

Test tubing rack

The method used in this experiment was:

First, 20 beads of bromotimol blue were assorted with 10ml of H2O in a beaker of 50ml.

The prepared solution was passed into a clean beaker so a straw would be placed inside the solution to blow in it by 30 seconds.

The solution was passed into a spectrophotometer cuvette, the optical density was read at 430nm.
